The JEFFCO Department of Health Services maintains the goal of a holistic approach while providing health support to all regular and exceptional needs students in Jefferson County Public Schools.

District Registered Nurses
provide health and nursing support to schools and programs assigned within an articulation area. School-based Clinic Aides, working as paraprofessionals, are trained and delegated through the District Registered Nurses to provide direct student care in school clinics.

District Hearing/Vision Screening
teams are provided to schools through the department to provide for student screenings.

The Homebound Instruction Program
collaborates with a student's home school of enrollment to provide instructional support for students who are medically fragile and are unable to regularly attend school.

The JEFFCO School Medicaid Program
provides CHP+ and Medicaid outreach and enrollment to students and families. The School Medicaid Program supports district staff with reimbursement that provides additional resources to improve, expand, or enhance health and health related services for all students.
