"Every Child Every Day"

West Jefferson Elementary (WJE) is located in southern Jefferson County, southwest of Denver on Highway 285 in Aspen Park. WJE school enrolls approximately 250 students offering a preschool, before and after school daycare, and a comprehensive curriculum meeting the needs of all the students including gifted and talented and special needs students. The classrooms average 24-28 students in K-5, and each class is carefully grouped with students of various abilities and personalities. The school focuses on literacy and math proficiency for all students. Most of the students attending WJE live in the mountain environment and are bussed to and from school.
